Jodi Davidson

Biography

Jodi Davidson is currently attending The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and pursuing her Master's Degree in Art Education. Her Undergraduate Degree was completed at West Chester University in 2002 with a concentration in ceramics. While attending West Chester University, Mitch Lyons, who is the creator of Clay Monoprinting, was a professor in the ceramics department. After being awarded a small scholarship to attend a workshop with Mitch, Jodi's passions grew for the very unique medium. Clay Monoprinting is a cross between printmaking and ceramics.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Jodi taught at Wallingford Community Art Center in Pennsylvania. She was able to work within the community as an out reach art program in schools that did not have a permanent art teacher throughout the year. Working with children at several site locations ignited the flame to pursue teaching the visual arts as a career.

Jodi will be graduating from The University of the Arts in the Spring of 2010 with her Master's in the Art of Teaching, grades K-12. She is looking forward to entering the school system as a young, energetic teacher whose passion for art shows as she continues to pursue her professional art career as a Clay Monoprinter as well.

love yourself, always...
